Itinerary

English-Speaking License Tour Guide with driver will pick up you from your hotel and transfer to visit the world-famous temples in Angkor archeological site:

  1. Angkor Wat is one of the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia and is the largest religious monument in the world
  2. Southern Gate of Angkor Thom City is one of the five ancient gates dated to the 12th century providing access through the 8m high laterite walls of  Angkor Thom City.
  3. Bayon temple is one of the more famous, popular and beautiful of the structures in the Angkor Archeological Park
  4. Baphoun is a beautiful 11th century “temple-mountain” with steep stairs leading visitors to a terrace which offers one of the best views.
  5. Terrace of the Elephant is one of the most visited spots in the Angkor Park. It was created as a viewing platform to welcome back victorious armies
  6. Terrace of the Leper king is believed to be built as a representation of Mount Meru, the center of the universe in Buddhist and Hindu cosmology.
  7. Ta Prohm is one of the largest temples built during the Khmer empire. The outside enclosing wall measures 1000m by 600m and was made from laterite-stone. (Optional: sunrise or Sunset will be charged 10US$ extra)

  1. Preah Khan temple is located in the Angkor Archaeological Park and is still largely unrestored. It is one of the larger temple complexes within the historic park. Preah Khan translates to “Holy Sword” in Khmer, named by Jayavarman VII.
  2. Neak Poan temple, is a Buddhist temple which sits in the middle of a circular artificial island in Jayatataka Baray. It was built by the king Jayavarman VII in the middle of the 12th century. The temple was originally designed as a hospital, it was thought bathing in the pools here would cure disease. Each of the four pools are said to represent wind, fire, water and earth.
  3. Ta Som temple is a captivating and charming temple. It was built by King Jayavarman VII, this Buddhist temple looks similar to many temples built at that time. There is a tree growing through part of the structure which provides excellent photo opportunities like Ta Prohm temple.
  4. East Mebon temple was built in the second half of the tenth century (952) by king Rajendravarman II, dedicated to Siva (Hindu), an ancestor temple in memory of the parents of the king.
  5. Pre Rup was the state temple of King Rajendravarman II. It is a mountain temple build in the year 961, located just South of the large East Baray.
  6. Banteay Srei temple is one of the most popular temples in Siem Reap. It’s known as the “lady temple” or the “pink temple” and is a 10th century Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. (Optional: sunrise will be charged 10US$ extra)

  1. Preah Ko temple is located in Rolous group. It was built in the 9th century and was a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva.
  2. Bakong Temple was built in the latter part of the 9th century and was the state temple for King Indravarman I. It was located in middle of what was then the first capital city of the Khmer empire – Hariharalaya.
  3. Lolei temple is one of the temples was built in the 9th century and was a Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. Lolei was the last major temple to be built in what was once the capital city of the Khmer empire before King Yasovarman I moved the capital to Angkor City.
  4. Beng Mealea Temple. A long road 66km, you can learn about traditional ways of life in Cambodia’s rural villages, tour a local market, check out a traditional Khmer house, travel past scenic rice fields and see life outside of the city.
  5.   Kampong Phluk, Floating village, get a taste of rural Cambodia on  Tonle Sap Lake and keep your camera to hand as you glide through the flooded forest, admire the stilted houses of Kompong Phluk village and pass a scenic panorama of floating markets, fish farms and rice paddies.

The sandy soil on the steps of the temples can create quite a slip hazard. We strongly suggest you wear sturdy footwear. Please wear protective clothing, hat and sunscreen.
